Paradise Lost
In
the world's garden there was a white flower
A flower watered by Peace and Justice
Now, it has faded and is replaced by a red flower
A flower watered by blood and tears of Injustice
Young boys and girls dare not cross the entry
That so romantic place has been turned into a cemetry
All inside lay dead bodies
Death spares nobody, not even babies
Everyday seems to be the Day of Doom
Like the Abikyu, the baby yearns for his mother's womb
World of atrocity and hatred
Because of power, people are ill-treated
Sitting under the hot shadows of trees
Old men miss the time they lived at ease
Eventhough all this cruelty hurts
Hope has not entirely left hearts
They know, they shall overcome
Patiently they're waiting for that day that is to come
Their sibblings shall play without being victim of a mine
They won't be one-legged but fine
Doors shall not be always shut
Outside there shall not be bloody mud
The sun shall shine again
And dead men shall rise again
A flower watered by Peace and Justice
Now, it has faded and is replaced by a red flower
A flower watered by blood and tears of Injustice
Young boys and girls dare not cross the entry
That so romantic place has been turned into a cemetry
All inside lay dead bodies
Death spares nobody, not even babies
Everyday seems to be the Day of Doom
Like the Abikyu, the baby yearns for his mother's womb
World of atrocity and hatred
Because of power, people are ill-treated
Sitting under the hot shadows of trees
Old men miss the time they lived at ease
Eventhough all this cruelty hurts
Hope has not entirely left hearts
They know, they shall overcome
Patiently they're waiting for that day that is to come
Their sibblings shall play without being victim of a mine
They won't be one-legged but fine
Doors shall not be always shut
Outside there shall not be bloody mud
The sun shall shine again
And dead men shall rise again
